2011 review - 18 years of ministry, 6 years of broadcast
Reaching millions of Romanian hearts
Since its inception in 1994, Alfa Omega TV has been subtitling and producing Christian programs for secular TV distribution, and since 2006, is airing them on the Alfa Omega TV channel, reaching Romanians throughout the world.
As a 24/7 TV network, in 2010 and 2011, Alfa Omega TV was included on the “must-carry” list of top Romanian TV channels, increasing the number of affiliated networks and reaching a potential audience of 7 million people via satellite, cable and IPTV, in Romania, Moldavia and Europe.
As a program distributor, we continued to provide hundreds of hours of Christian content to 40 local secular TV stations in Romania and Moldova, reaching another 2 million people.
2011 has also marked an increase of online content published by Alfa Omega TV, which led to a dramatic growth in stats. The website traffic almost doubled compared to 2010, while video viewing on Youtube increased 5 times.
In 2011, we continued the distribution of DVDs and printed materials with Christian content, and redesigned our online bookstore, all with the purpose of equipping the Body of Christ.
Catalyst for revival movements in Romania
Alfa Omega TV continued to be a catalyst of the revival movement in Romania. We have promoted and broadcast revival meetings from various parts of the country, reporting about the power of the Holy Spirit and amplifying it through media.
2011 saw more interactive live TV programs from Alfa Omega new TV studio, where men of God prayed for the needs of our audience. These live programs reached the lives of thousands of people, transforming their hearts, building their faith and healing their bodies.
We also begun producing 2 new weekly TV programs, “The Power of Prayer” and “The Heart of Worship”, to reflect and promote the prayer and praise & worship movements in Romania.
Special Projects
In december 2011, we issued the first number of the Alfa Omega TV Magazine, containing the TV guide and Christian articles. A mobile application was also launched, placing Romanian Christian content in the hands of iPhone and iPad users, with Android devices to follow.
Significant progress was also seen on the preparation of the multi-channel satellite up-link project, setting up an antenna and up-link equipment. ***
The Communications Center will serve as a base for projects in SE Europe.
Alfa Omega continues to stand with Israel, producing and broadcasting special programs, organizing media events and conferences to mobilize Romanian believers to pray for Gods chosen people.
